PDF Merge
Combine multiple PDF files into a single document. The entire process is done securely in your browser—no file uploads required.
Select two or more PDF files.
This tool leverages the power of modern web technologies, specifically a JavaScript library called `pdf-lib`, to perform all PDF manipulations directly within your web browser. When you select your files, they are read by your browser, combined into a new PDF document in memory, and then a download is initiated. Your files are never sent to or stored on any server, making this a completely private and secure process.
- Combining scanned document pages into a single file.
- Merging separate report sections (e.g., cover page, body, appendix) into a final report.
- Assembling a portfolio from multiple individual project PDFs.
- Consolidating invoices or receipts for a single expense report.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Currently, the files are merged in the order you select them. A feature to drag-and-drop to reorder files is planned for a future update.
Are there any limitations?
This tool works best with standard PDF files. It cannot merge password-protected (encrypted) PDFs. If you encounter an error, it's likely that one of your source files is encrypted or has a corrupted structure.
Is there a file size limit?
Since all processing happens in your browser, the main limitation is your computer's available memory. The tool is suitable for most common document sizes, but merging very large or numerous high-resolution PDFs may cause your browser to slow down or become unresponsive.
